Services

The comprehensive plan will take you through all of the following services. Or you can pick and choose specific areas of focus with the hourly plan.

1. IMMEDIATE ACTIONS
You will learn the all of the things that you should do right away to significantly increase your chances of getting into your dream school and getting scholarships and financial aid. Most of these are simple tasks that many applicants don't think to do in advance, and end up wishing they had done earlier in their MBA consideration process.

2. PERSONALITY PROFILE
Knowing your working, studying, and managing style is the first step to pinpointing a program that is right for you. Different schools place different emphasis on lectures, case work, individual work, and team work. Understanding your personality will not only help you find a school evironment you enjoy, but also one in which you excel.

3. PREFERENCE ASSESSMENT
Ideally, you want the best of everything: top-notch program, high ranking, great location, small class size, low tuition, and a huge scholarship. Realistically, we'll need to prioritize your preferences in order to find superiority in the things that matter most, and sufficiency in the things that are lower on your list.

4. SCHOOL SELECTION
After a comprehensive search, I'll recommend the schools that best match your personality and preferences. These schools will fall into one of three categories:
  • REACH
  • COMPETITIVE
  • SAFE
5. APPLICATION GAME PLAN
At this stage, you'll be ready to decide which of these schools (or others of your choice) to apply for. We'll discuss timelines, deadlines, and develop a path to gather everything required on time.

6. SOCIAL MEDIA AUDIT
What does your online presence tell others about you? In this exercise, I search the Internet to see what admissions counselors and future employers would see if they searched for you. Then, I will give recommendations of specific actions to take in order to make your online identity shine.

7. RESUME WRITING
Having a solid, well written resume is a critical need for anyone seeking to progress their career. I will thoroughly review, critique, and edit your resume to make your past achievements stand out in a way that will catch the attention of admissions counselors.

8. ESSAY REVIEW
The essay portion of your application will help MBA programs learn more about your background, as well as offer an insight into your written communication skills. I will help identify compelling stories from past experience and offer guidelines and tips for construction. I'll also review and edit your completed essay to ensure it meets competitive standards.

9. INTERVIEW PREPARATION
A competitive resume and well-prepared application will mean little if you don't present well. Interviewing is your one and only chance to make a first impression. I'll instruct you one the best way to prepare for questions and to deliver concise, effective responses that will impress your interviewer. I'll also take you through two 30 minute mock interviews over phone or video chat and give feedback on how to improve.

10. SCHOLARSHIP / AID
Getting admitted is one thing. Figuring out how to pay for it all is a whole other issue! Luckily, you have many options and resources that can provide scholarships, grants, or stipends that can help you foot the MBA bill. I'll coach you on where to look and how to apply in order to increase your chances of securing aid.

11. NETWORKING ADVICE
In many ways, getting an MBA is a rite of passage. Arguably more important than what you learn in your classes will be who you get to know and how well you network with them. I'll give you advice on how to connect with the right people, and how to (tactfully) get what you need from others.
